How to Write a Good Write-up for Your SRFP 2022

Note :- This is one of the many ways of writing a good Write-up. There can be other ways too but if you are stuck, use this way. Also, I'm not a professional but this is what I can suggest from my side. You can always talk to your seniors or anyone experienced.

Step 2 :- Choose your Area of Interest. Let's say Physics.

Step 3 :- Look through the Specialization column & note down the topics belonging to your interest and Area of Interest. Note down every topic you find intriguing.

Step 4 :- Sort down the topics - Keep those topics in which you have some basic knowledge or very deep interest, remove others.

Step 5 :- Now choose any one topic from your sorted list. If you are facing difficulty then, search all topics in Google Scholar. Take a glance to the recent research papers. See what research is going on. Select that topic whose research interest you.

Step 6 :- After selecting one topic. Let's say Supernova. Now, look at the research papers of the respective guides. Eg. look at the research papers of Prof. GC Anupama. Read the introduction first. Then, result. Then, you can further explore if you are understanding at least 10% of it. Try to figure out what is happening basically on a superficial level.

Step 7 :- The basic trick is if you can tell what your guide is doing then you can write a good Write-up.

Step 8 :- While writing stay careful, don't oversell yourself also don't beg. Show the skills and interest you have for your topic and subject & let the guide know how it will be an opportunity for you and your guide as well. Keep your tone polite and interesting.
